Refine the lines of the handle and bowl

Adjust the tool rest and begin to define the edges of the bowl. All we are after is the general outline and blending it ito the handle. The bowl is carved later off the lathe.

Refine the handle

Refine the handle to a pleasant feel and a thickness with which you are comfortable, particlulary as this will be a working tool and strength is needed. The weakest part of the spoon is the joint from shaft to bowl.
